From a very young age, I was fascinated about how the eye and visual system work.
I majored in BioChemistry at NYU and went on to receive my doctorate degree from SUNY State College of Optometry. I then went on to complete a residency in Ocular Disease at the NY Harbor Health Care System. A few years later, I became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and recently served as President of the New York Chapter from 2014-2016. Currently, I am a part-time consultant for the Department of Education, providing eye exams to NYC school children. For the past 17 years I've worked in a private practice setting.
My favorite part of clinical practice is getting to know my patients, talking with them about their visual needs and applying technology and research to their particular situation, in order to make the best possible decisions about their vision and health together.
